Phnom Penh, September 2025, Foreign Trade Bank of Cambodia (FTB) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed an MoU of Confirming Bank, aims to strengthen cooperation and unlock new possibilities in trade finance.
Mr. Bhargav Dasgupta, Vice President of ADB from Manila, Philippines, Ms. Jyotsana Varma, Country Director of ADB, Cambodia Resident Mission, and Mr. Dith Sochal, the Chief Executive Officer of FTB, attended this signing ceremony along with management and teams from both banks.

Mr. Dith Sochal, CEO of FTB mentioned that “The signing of the Confirming Bank agreement between the ADB and FTB marks a significant step forward in supporting Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). This partnership will provide a new trade supply chain finance solution to local producers and manufacturers—whether operating as importers or exporters—to access enhanced trade finance solutions, fostering greater participation in regional and global markets.”
“This signing enables FTB to enhance the ability to serve customers and prospects by making global trade and supply chains more inclusive, environmentally sustainable, resilient, transparent, and socially responsible. Through this partnership, FTB will gain access to expanded resources, deep expertise, and innovative opportunities that will empower FTB to deliver more dynamic and impactful trade finance solutions”, he continued.
