Phnom Penh, March 12, 2026 –– Foreign Trade Bank of Cambodia (FTB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Cambodian Water Supply Association (CWA) to facilitate loan access for CWA members. This partnership enables members to expand their water supply businesses within their licensed areas and operate in compliance with the “National Water Quality Standards” in a sustainable manner.
Through this strategic partnership, FTB will play a key role in providing loans under special conditions to water service providers who are members of CWA. The collaboration offers exclusive privileges, including:
1. Simplified loan application processes tailored for water supply businesses
2. Special interest rates for association members
3. Study funds to support investment in water supply system
With this MoU, FTB is committed to cooperating and supporting water service providers in overcoming challenges such as limited capital to expanding water supply networks and water treatment plants. The FTB will also help enhance operators’ technical expertise and business management capacity to ensure the quality and sustainable growth of the water service business of CWA members.
